Sea Isle City, New Jersey is the island just between Avalon and Ocean City. My daughter’s best friend’s parents enjoy the beach in Sea Isle City more than the other beaches, so they often take her there in the summer. I think it is because Sea Isle City’s beaches are often commented to be the cleanest around.

When you take a vacation to Sea Isle City, you may want to rent a bicycle. The island is on the smaller side so it is just as practical to make your way around on a bike. Just like many of the other islands in south Jersey, Sea Isle City has a boardwalk. Along the boardwalk you will find an arcade, several shops, and eateries that contain pizza and ice cream.

The boardwalk also has a pavilion where live concerts are performed throughout the summer months. If it happens to be raining, you can head to the Sea Isle City Historical Museum on 42nd Street to learn more about the history of the island. The museum also has a contest that adults and children can participate in. Anyone who turns in the correct answers on the contest sheet will receive a prize.

You may also want to take advantage of the neighboring islands for entertainment. For example, Ocean City is just twenty minutes away and has a boardwalk with rides and entertainment. Atlantic City is about thirty minutes away and offers live shows, concerts, and a variety of casinos. Really, you can’t go wrong if you choose to visit Sea Isle City on your next vacation.
