Ocean City is my next favorite island to visit here in South Jersey. It only takes me about 35 minutes to get into the city. Several of my family members have worked in Ocean City, and a lot of my friends choose to attend church there. My favorite place is the boardwalk, and twice per year they offer $10 bracelets for the rides and miniature golf courses to benefit handicap children.
When you vacation in Ocean City, you have access to the beach and all of its activities. You can go swimming, surfing, fishing, crabbing, jet skiing, and whale watching. Then you can take the family up to the boardwalk for some pizza and funnel cakes. Of course, there are also amusement park rides, arcade games, restaurants, race car tracks, and a waterpark.
I’m not big into other sports, but Ocean City does have a golf course and a few tennis courts if you enjoy getting in a workout. You can also take a stroll on the beach, or go biking through the town.
There are a ton of hotels and fine dining establishments to choose from, such as the Chatterbox Restaurant, or the Shore Thing Restaurant. No matter where you stay, you are only a short distance from the beach and all of the town’s activities.
Just a few minutes outside of Ocean City are several other attractions you may want to take advantage of. The Atlantic City Aquarium, Historic Smithville Village, Ripley’s Believe It or Not Museum, and Storybook Land are just a few examples. Don’t forget that several other Jersey Islands, like Sea Isle, Avalon, and Stone Harbor, are just a short drive away as well.
