The Carrville Inn: in Trinity CountyI just got back from a great Northern California road trip through Trinity County, a county rife with natural beauty and expansive scenery. There's even a little history relating to the Oregon Trail, the Gold Rush and westward expansion. With a little help from a friend I was able to do a little Gold Panning, or prospecting. That was interesting and I actually pulled a decent amount of gold out of the river. Not enough to buy a dinner, but interesting none the less. There are countless rivers, lakes and streams including the Trinity River and Trinity Lake. There is tons of hiking and even some fun history, including the Carrville Inn, founded by aspiring Gold Rush entrepreneur James Carr.
